Concept and design direction for a website promoting “How Democracy Works Now”, a twelve-part documentary series about the immigration reform debate.

My task was to design an engaging experience for visitors to navigate through the twelve film synopses.
A Flash window “vignette” viewer was designed for users tointeract with content, displayed as hashmarks along a timeline, that reveals random snippets of video from the films.
Social media and user interaction were also important components of the design. Templates were created for a select number of participants featured in the films to live blog and invite discussion.
Design also includes an e-commerce section for the sale of their media, and also an interactive feature – a non-linear timeline to allow visitors the ability to view film synopses, supporting images, audio, text and video clips when interacting with significant dates and points along the timeline.
